Erasmus in INEFC
The Barcelona’s INEFC is one of the preferred sites of students all over Spain and Europe thanks to the high level of training and the unique configuration of its facilities, which enable a high concentration of activities in a short time.
The INEFC is a Catalan-Spanish bilingual centre whose preference is Catalan. Some teachers speak fluent in English. Catalan is a language very similar to Spanish and some resemblance to French. Spanish students often have no trouble following classes in Catalan. French, Portuguese and Italian students also easily fit but with more work. For languages with non-Latin root the difficulty is higher and the students usually choose more practical and less theoretical courses.
Currently two plans of study coexist. The former, with 4 specializations, and the new Degree of Bologna’s curriculum.
In the academic year 2010-2011 the first and second year of the old plan will be gone and will be applied the first two degree courses. Although there are many similarities, there are some subjects that will no longer be available and the workload of other subjects will be amended. You may examine the curriculum here.
During 2011-2012 it will be easier because it will only exist the PESS (Physical Education and Sports Science) Grade.
The basic difference between these two models is the high number of elective subjects of the old curriculum, which are currently reduced. You should consult their availability here. The Grade reduces the electivity and at the same time it facilitates the equivalence of subjects.
